Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how PELPortal Inc. (a product of Patrick Enwerem Limited, RC 9180331) ("PEL", "we") collects, uses, and safeguards information in connection with our websites, the PELPortal application, and our professional services (the "Services"). This page is maintained by PEL to answer common security and privacy questions about the Services.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account & contact data you provide when submitting a brief, booking a session, or signing into PELPortal (e.g., name, work email, company, phone).
  • Engagement data shared in the course of a Statement of Work (project documents, system context, API credentials you authorize us to use).
  • Usage & telemetry generated when you interact with the Services (timestamps, IP, browser type, route paths).

2. How We Use Information

We use information to deliver the Services, respond to inquiries, operate and secure the PELPortal application, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and improve our products. We do not sell personal data.

3. Security & Encryption

We apply industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Data in transit is protected with TLS. Customer data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 by our cloud database provider.

Third-party API credentials — including those for Unipile, OpenAI, and other integrated AI and automation providers — are encrypted at rest using AES-256 via Supabase Vault. Access is scoped via role-based access control and row-level security, and decryption occurs only within authorized server-side functions executing on your behalf.

4. Subprocessors

We engage a limited set of vetted subprocessors for hosting, database, authentication, email delivery, and analytics. A current list is available on request to info@penwerem.com.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Engagement data is deleted or returned per the applicable SOW upon termination.

6. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and comparable laws, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal data. Contact info@penwerem.com to exercise these rights.

7. International Transfers

Where data is transferred outside Nigeria, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms and apply appropriate safeguards consistent with the NDPA 2023 and partner jurisdictions' requirements.

8. Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies for authentication and analytics. You can control cookies via your browser settings.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
